I live in England and its been raining for over 2 hours now. Pitch grey clouds throughout the country. 85% sure game will be cancelled and announced in next few hours. Bet ECB are kicking themselves since its a bank holiday and against India they are missing out lots of easy money mwahahaha...

Shastri says Dhoni's the boss, Dhoni says it's Fletcher, BCCI says it's Shastri. I mean what the actual ****? It's a circus. And Dhoni goes into a press conference and says Fletcher will stay on till the 2015 WC, without actually knowing what the BCCi's stand on the issue is

Bunch of idiots

Sadly however the idiots, as is all too often the case, have all the power

BBC Sport - Graeme Swann: England are not good enough to win World Cup

"I remember sitting in a team meeting - before the new fielding restrictions were brought in - and we were told that if we scored 239 we will win 72% of games. That meant the whole game was built on having so many runs by a certain stage and having so many partnerships. I used to shake my head, thinking 'this is crazy'. I remember Jonathan Trott getting close to a hundred in Colombo. We had batted to our plan almost perfectly and scored 229. Trotty got 86 in 115 balls. Everyone said "brilliant", then Sri Lanka knocked them off in 39.3 overs."
I know we all sort of knew this was the case, but shocking that the target was ever so low. We really are buggered long term in ODIs

Interesting. It's not too far removed from the tactics that nearly won us the CT in 2013, but ultimately if you want to be part of the 72% then you have to have the bowlers to defend those totals. In Sri Lanka we didn't really have that and we probably won't in Australia, though the two new balls helps.

The way Swann words it does sound suspiciously like shifting blame. If you look at that match where we spent 39.3 overs not taking a wicket and decide that to be entirely the fault of the batsmen you couldn't have been paying much attention.

Not saying I agree with everything in Swann's article, but Hales not being in the team still is the most ridiculous selection ****up of all time really.. I just.. don't get it.

Well I say Graeme Swann and Michael Vaughan can both GAGF.

I am actually quietly confident that England can put in a good showing at the WC next year.........I think all the negativity towards our chances is unwarranted. At least wait and see what happens during the upcoming onedayathon we are about to embark on before the main event.
