its quite disgusting what some of our crowds and players have done in the past, but the cricket world has always gave it to us for it ( and we deserved it, its a bad thing )

apart from the australia, most of the cricket world want to let this one go to the keeper and you can't compare anything we have done as a cricketing nation to that mumbai crowd, that was just bad
Turn it up, I've seen some equally sickening stuff from Aussie crowds ranging from swearing at little kids to throwing full bottles into sections of opposition supporters.

Mumbai wasn't pretty, but that high horse you're riding on is a bit rich, as is labelling all Indians and all of their team as racist pigs.

Wow, dodgy decisions, and racism claims aside, that was a ****ing Awesome test match.

Hogg out, Tait in for the next test match imo. People will say we need Hogg for variety or whatever, but fact of the matter is that 2 part timers took more wickets in 1 innings than Hogg has all series.

Tait is simply a better bowler in the longer version of the game, as is Johnson. Whilst Johnson hasn't been fantastic, he hasn't been crap either imo. He's basically had Dravid out in every Innings in this series but for no-balls or dropped catches, and he's also had his fair share of edges from his bowling that haven't gone to hand. He does however, need to work on getting the seam position right, and making the batsmen play more often.

i have seen bad things in aussie crowd, but nothing compares to that mumbai crowd, and it wasn't even against the team, they had an agenda against 1 single player, and what did he do to deserve that ? score a few runs in the previous match ?

ok, i'll take back calling the team racist ( apart from maybe harby )

SO do you have any proof?
and mods:why is he not being warned as the one who werte calling umpire biased were?
Good Question?

Well pasag????????????????????
Settle down please, there is a report function there for a reason. Only one person reported the post and that was neither of you. As it is, the report was received and action was taken immediately but you can hardly expect it to happen quickly if you don't bother reporting it.

Just watched the highlights.

Australia probably deserved to win just for sticking to the task, but two of the second innings dismissals were frankly very questionable decisions indeed.

Laxman Tendulkar out and Lee not out ...just quietly.. (about LBW's)
symonds plumb twice in 1st innings and once in second with one pretty close in 1st.
Hussey hitting middle of middle in second innings.
Hayden hitting top of off in second innings.
AND There were more.
Anyone who thinks umpiring did not affect this game is really biased or completely has no knowledge of rules.

Any mention of the latest in a long line of 2nd innings capitulations by India?

A draw probably would've been a fair result BUT the fact that India lost more than half their wickets to part-timers is a sorry indictment upon them

In all the talk about umpires, this seems to have been lost
It's probably because the second-innings capitulation is not just restricted to India. South Africa, England, India, Pakistan and just about everybody else bar the Aussies make a habit out of it.

Well Harbhajan might be banned. But I've heard that Sreesanth might join the squad for the tour game, in which case, he'd be in the side.
No, the BCCI wants them (him and Munaf) to prove fitness in Duleep Trophy

How tall is Pankaj, anyone know?
6ft 5 in hs socks.

Also, if everyone is fully fit, what is the pecking order of Indian seamers?

  1. Zaheer Khan
  2. RP Singh
  3. Sreesanth
  4. Munaf Patel
  5. Ishant Sharma
  6. Irfan Pathan
  7. VRV Singh

Does that sound right?
Sort of, but it is more complicated than that. Munaf Patel has falle out of favour due to his injuries.

Australia aren't immune either. Mumbai 2004 for example. Today was particularly bad though. Even after Dravid's dismissal, which was indeed a very poor decision, India had 6 wickets in hand with under a session to bat. They still had 4 wickets in hand and two set batsmen going into the final hour, and to top if off part timers took 6 of the last 7 wickets. India have nobody to blame for those wickets except themselves.

Sreesanth joining in this series would makes things really turn ugly. Even though he's far more Test ready than Sharma is right now I shudder to think of the type of tantrums he could pull here.

Oh, agreed. It just doesn't happen as often.

But it was not "awesome" from my p.o.v as umpiring affected the course of the match pretty badly.
News coming in-Bucknor Removed from third test.About time.
(Most probably asad rauf will be officiating with peter parker or billy bowden)
Hopefully removed from the elite list as well along with that benson who always looks under pressure as if he has constipation.
In india effigies of ponting, bucknor and benson are being burned.
Cannot wait until when these aussies come to India. The things which have been done with the Indian team by their players and media will hopefully be repaid in the same coin by us.

Did someone hear the guy in the morning session loudly hurling abuse at Indians from the crowd during the star cricket coverage?

Ganguly has benson to blame.
Btw ,in these 4th innings survivals India heavily rely on dravid for survival.
