***Official*** India in Australia

The lack of proper warmup games for what is clearly the hardest tour in world cricket is just plain stupid. The BCCI should dock their own pay if and when India perform poorly in the first Test after not being ready. What a ridiculous situation - I don't think its possible for me to hate a governing body more than I do the BCCI. It's now officially a tie between the BCCI and the Council of the Suprema in terms of the worst bodies in history.

Silent they were playing a test match against Pakistan a few days ago. Why I think a lot of needs to go into playing more warm up matches to adjust to a country's conditions how is this the BCCI fault when the last test against Pakistan finished only a few days ago.

Because they are the ones who scheduled the series. They could easily have not played the seven ODI worthless marathons this season, and had more time.

i agree...those ODIs were not worth playing...they should ahve given more time to this series.

I would play Hogg for the boxing day test. Reckon he might trouble the Indians at times apart from playing the stock bowler role which is important in matches with bigger totals despite the likes of Symonds ad Carke in the team.

Very true. I recall Flintoff saying at the end of last Ashes series that England's preparation was good, and that he was ready to play a test match come Brisbane.
As Gideon Haigh noted, though, the question is was he ready to play a test in Australia vs Australia?
Still and all, India's batting line up is much more experienced in Aussie conditions than England's of last year, so a large majority of them know what to expect. That should help to some extent: Ganguly, Sehwag, VVS, Dravid, Tendulkar have all enjoyed at least some measure of success out here in the past.
Edit: I'm really looking forward to seeing Dhoni out here. I think he has the potential to be a real crowd favourite here. I reckon the crowds will love the way he plays.

Nah, get your facts straight. Will hopefully be at the coast on boxing day. Got no cattle anyway.

Lol, great start. 8-)

Hopefully Dravid gets plenty of time in the middle. That's the key really.

- Jaffer looked bad. Wasn't able to cope with whatever swing was on offer and probably the kookabura so early on in the tour. Hopefully it is just adjustment problems but don't know whether he will be able to make the adjstments so fast into the tests.

- Tendulkar looked awesome before inside edging it to the wicket.

- Dravid looking good.

- Ganguly is playing his strokes (a lot of which is hit or miss at the moment), probably trying to hit himself into a bit of good nick.

- Happy with Sehwag being excluded.

Whats the bowling like mate?
Wise is bowlng very sharp, giving very little room. Digging it in short too. The over head conditions means that there was swing as well. Good test for Indians which also means good practise. Has been bowling from a very high arm action.

Siddle has been more easy to deal with because the angle or the height hasn't been there. He has been swinging it a bit too.

Cheers mate, looking forward to see how Mcgain goes against the Indians.
