India's only real miss was Harb, and the way he's been performing recently, that is not much of a miss (especially when his replacement took a 5fer)

What about Zaheer?????

Australia will surely win the next 2 test matches easily...I'm gonna play for australia, and I'm a better batsman then Sir Donald Bradman...I'm a better fielder than Jonty Rhodes, and I'm a quicker bowler than Thompson, lee or akhtar, and more accurate than pollock, mcgrath, lille or ne1 else u can think off..........and im' a better keeper than ratra......which OBVIOUSLY means im' better than parthiv and gilly :P

Did i mention that i'm a better captain than steve waugh?

seriously amits, can u plz tell me where u got the idea that parthiv was better than gilly?

i totally agree wif master blaster....Your not only a disgrace to indians,....and not only a disgrace to cricket fans around the world........your a bloody disgrace to the human population!:alien8:

HOWEVER,i must admit CW is a much mre enjoyable place to visit now... I don't have to waste ne money on expensive joke books....We've got two resident comedians in the house.......

no prizes for guessing who they are

Rajat, your list of "great Indians" are all impure. Most of them, especially those huge number working at NASA aren't in India...

I'm proud of being an Indian too, and don't need you or Amit to tell me about my heritage. And if you feel inclined to do so, don't.

Back to the cricket:

What's this about fastest pitch in Australia. Fast+Lee = ...

I think Australia will win the series 2-1 but if the Indians do manage to pull off another test win, it would be one of the greatest upsets in the history of test cricket.
But I think even the current situation 1-0 up (for India) itself is a big upset considering people's predictions.. 4-0,3-0,white wash....etc in aus fav.
Any way, nice to see some reasonable figure like 2-1, rather than an arrogant 4-0,3-0,...

Amit, i hope you are joking for your sake.If you are indeed joking, then your jokes are not being taken well. I remember you saying that you come here to make patriotic posts which means you are saying this knowing that they are false or not going to happen. You are being more unpatriotic than patriotic. You represent India here and by making such posts , the people from other countries get bad opinion on you and that transfers to India too. Also stop including " patriotic " in every other message you post, it gets annoying.
Exactly.
Let's leave all the patriotism matters and talk(even fight ) on cricket .

This is really funny from your side. i had already written while posting that thread that its for .leave it....
by the way i have never said that indians who live outside india are unpatriotic.so plzz dont link me with what is posted by amit.
also what has happened to your english...."back to the cricket"????
also the sole intention of that post was that i really liked it.i know that it wasnt cricket but still i wanted to post it

So Rajat you are back  I pride myself for the fact that I got you banned for a week. Good times ahead. All I want to say to you is don't judge how patriotic a person is based on where they live. Its stupid you didn't realise how you were contradicting yourself with that post of yours.

Amits I don't need you to say whether I am improving and becoming patriotic. You are not some judge, alright? You have no power to run your mouth saying if someone else is patriotic. A lot of ppl living in India have done nothing for India and still call themselves patriotic. All they do is come online and bring a bad name to the country (no prizes for guessing who it is)

Amits you said Ratra is better than Gilchrist. Please tell me, you were kidding. Gilchrist averages more than 58 and Ratra averages 18 (and if you dont count that unbeaten 100 he scored on a road in the WI, he'd avrage 5.33). You still say Ratra is better than Gilchrist? Please tell me no.

As for Langer V Sehwag...yep I still say Sehwag is better. I would pick Sehwag over Langer any day. Sehwag has a big future infront of him. Even if he plays some rash strokes here and there, I'm sure he is going to develop into a class player.

Well, I'm 100% English (within reason, ie I know about Anglo-Saxons), all my ancestors have been for 300 years and I've lived in England all my life and continue to do so. How's that for patriotism? :D :P

Therefore, I feel I am fairly qualified to say that there is nothing wrong with 'Back To The Cricket' in it's current form :)

Thank you for the vouch, PY. Yes, Rajat, there's nothing wrong with "Back to the Cricket." When the main topic of discussion is cricket, and the topic was sidelined, it is normal to say "Back to the cricket." In formal writing terms it is close to meaning: "Back to the discussion on Cicket," but we are not writing formally. This is more conversasional.

And before you go around correcting others' English, I'd suggest you take a good look at your own. ;)

My apologies for linking you and Amit, Rajat. I thought you too agreed on most things. I stand corrected if you do not.

Anyway, back to the cricket! Enough of the personnel attacks and comments.

I think we all are, Choora. Perhaps it's time for everyone to chill.

Merry Christmas whether relevant or not, and may everyone's God go with them.

Yeah, I agree too. This patirotism crap has gone far enough. Sorry if I sounded a little 'aggressive'.

May all of you have a safe and wonderful Christmas, and a very prosperous and happy 2004.
