best ever post made on cricketweb.net forums :)

Close, but no cigar.

I know that I like blowing my own trumpet, but this is MY favourite post in the forums (OK, the duck's favourite)...

Oscar Wilde once said "There is only one thing in the world WORSE than being talked about - and that is NOT being talked about".

Well, there is only one thing in the world funnier than getting a duck - and that is getting out for 99.
There is only one thing in the world funnier than getting out for 99 - and that is an Australian getting out for 99.
There is only one thing in the world funnier than an Australian getting out for 99 - and that is an Australian getting run out for 99.
There is only one thing in the world funnier than an Australian getting run out for 99 - and that is an Australian getting run out for 99 when it was his partner who hit the ball AND whose call it was AND who was running to the danger end AND his partner was the captain AND he went on to register a century himself AND the skipper went on to win the 'Man of the Match' award.

Take a bow, Oscar Gilchrist.

Adelaide has been notoriously bad for India. I remember back in 1999/2000 India were rolled out for around 120 odd with Damien Fleming almost taking a hat-trick (only Warney dropped the catch).

We're going to have our hands full. Adam Gilchrist won't make ducks all the time, I can assure you of that.

Drop catch on a hat-trick.

Surely that has to rank up there with 99 on debut and other such 'Argh' moments.

India almost won the match at Adelaide in 1991. I remember it lost the match by a very low margin because Azharuddin lost his nerve after scoring a brilliant 100.

2-1 but I dont who will win.

Bichel may drop out for Williams to keep him happy.

They may consider a second spinner for Syndey (Australia). I think it is certain India will play two spinners at Adelaide and Sydney.

I think it was in 1991 series, India made aus to do follow-on( in the last test inwhich Shastri got double hundred and manjaekar scored 100.) while aus were dominating the first 4 tests.

By my calculations it must have been past 2am (unless the clock is playing up again)

To me that's the sign of an insomniac...

Actually I don't because I'm at work at that time.

What is it with new people thinking I'm Australian? That's 2 this week!
