How dare you question the way James runs this site. He does the most fantastic job possible and has to put up with people carrying on like 5 years olds constantly - to go and criticise him is, well the lowest act I've ever seen on this forum - and I've been here since day 1.

Theres no point in banning you - it will jsut satisfy you and it's not worth the time that it will take to press the ban button.

I really and truly hope that you are ashamed of yourself. That is the most disgraceful post in memory.

Appalling.

Note: Dravid officially averages more than Tendulkar! Making him the highest averaging batsman in the world! Hayden and Gilchrist don't count :D
Oh yes I'm sure there's a great reason for that.
Now let's not forget Graeme Smith...

That is absolute disgrace. It's none of your business how James runs this site.

A polite request was made by James and then someone completely ignored it and carried on bickering like a bunch of adolescent schoolgirls. Quite frankly, it beggars belief. You've never even met the man or spoken to him yet you say something like that. If I hadn't met someone (ie like you haven't met James) I wouldn't dream of calling that someone what you just have. As far as I'm concerned you need to get some manners and then come back.

I think Andre has understated the job he does, he has to make sure this forum has a friendly atmosphere which is what CricketWeb has always been about from the start. A decent, friendly set of people who want to talk about cricket.

Appalled.

It is really hot over here.Is that really worth? Somebody started the fight and others just supported it. Anyway, jame's action may help to cool up the things(with some wounds in Rajat).
Hope he may comeback after 7 day vacation....

Now Please comment on Lara's statement that he got inspired by Laxman-Dravid knock to score the attacking 200.(Lara has been a good supporter of Indian team.) or something else..

Doesn't look like he was inspired enough though. :(

I'm quite glad India won to be honest, it sets up the next two Tests to be absolute belters. Can't wait.

The Aussies will come back like hell-fire and Dravid, Laxman and Tendulkar will need to perform like they did this Test. I think they might be upto it, Sachin has got to get his touch back sometime. All depends on the Australian bowling line-up.

RAHUL DRAVID

Dravid takes off the hat of Mr.Dependable from Steve Waugh, for the time being, and he had been a good contestant for the same for the last 2-3 years.
He got a tough, but cool mind rather than high quality techniques to be Mr. Rock Solid. He's is a gentleman cricketer .
I heard that he was there as one among the 5 engineers who attended a final tough interview for the Indian Defence . :)
Fortunately(for Indian Cricket fans,) he wasn't selected.... Otherwise who would've won the man of the match award here?:D

Ajit Wadekar has said on cricinfo that this is the best Indian side ever.

I'm no expert on India in any sense of the word but isn't that a tad over the top?

Any other Indian sides that jump out at people?

THat's for sure.
All depends on the Australian bowling line-up.
I'd like to modify that; all depends on Indain's consistency.THey were notoriously inconsistent and I hope it maynot happen from this time onwards..
Inclusion of Lee may give more sharpness to aus bowling, but maynot be sufficient to win the excited Sourav & Co.

I don't think this is the best; KapilDev's was much better team with more number of talented batsmen and ofcourse a good allrounder. But the difference is the absence of a Sachin at that time.(Gavaskar was of a different class).
Wadeker's team had won India's first overseas series victory and that was suppossed to be the bast Indian test team.
Sourav's team has got a lot of defficiencies compared to Kapil's and Azhar's.

They have one of the greatest batting line-ups ever assembled in one place (as have Australia) - but the bowling is still a little hit-and-miss.

Great to see our hero AA firing in the last test, though.

Really well played by india to win the macth and i would be backing india to win the test series as well. But they cannot be considered as the best team as yet, they have just won a match, i am sure it will be really tough for them to win another as Australia will be fighting back.

Yes,. this Indian team
with the current form and detrmination,
with an attacking/dependable keeper(like Gilly),
with a good allrounder like Kapil,
with good openers like Grienidge & Haynes ,
with a good swing-clever bowler like Wasim Akram( no need of Brtt lee, Shoib,...even McGrath),
with a prolific spinner like Murali
and with the consistency of Steve's Aus( prior to this series)
can make the Best Test Team in the world.....:wow: :D

Wow, a day away from the thread and all hell breaks lose!:cool2: As a cricket fan, this has been a great series, it is so refreshing to see two teams competing. Rather than one competing to finish on the third day and the other just making up the numbers.

For all the plaudits (sp) that Dravid is getting, and don't get me wrong they are well deserved, I think Laxman deserves alot more credit, because Dravid needed someone to stay with him. Lots of pressure on both as one more wicket in that first innings and there wasn't much left. Laxman then took the pressure off Dravid in the second innings by erasing the defecit as quickly as possible, he will be extremely ****ed off at getting out, especially to Katich. IMO Laxman is the best Indian batsman.

Did Tendulkar leave his bat on the plane?

this indian team has all -

sehwag & chopra = greenidge & haynes
zaheer = wasim
harbhajan = murali

only the kapil part is missing
