The Indian attack is nothing to write home about, but I think that Zaheer and Ishant bowled pretty decently today. It is to Ponting and Clarke's credit that they played very well.

It doesn't matter how well or badly Ishant bowls he will not pick any wickets !!!

Wickets hate Ishant !!!

If I see Ishant sharma in the team again I will stop watching cricket :@

When is the next time Ponting faces a good bowling line-up again? West Indies are next apparently, so more average boasting there. Does he have a clear run until the Ashes?

Come on, the party line is that the Windies are a side on the way back up. Roach, Rampaul, Edwards, Sammy, Bishoo, Russell... there's almost a decent attack in there. Now if they could just produce some wickets with some bounce in them.

Given the main problem was a technical glitch causing him to fall across his stumps and a run of throwing away starts I'd say he's in prime nick to score runs against any side.

I have never understood why people are hurt when Ponting scores runs. Its like they take it personally as if they were the bowler getting belted.

It does not matter really. He already has 41 test centuries, and probably going to score a few more. He probably could not care less.

there's a 6 or so month test match break after the WI. The good/bad news for you is, the first 3 tests after the break are against SA, in Aus on the Gabba, Waca and Adl (iirc, hobart is the only other option. In Nov-Dec). The good/bad news, straight after it it's 3 tests against SL. And then rather oddly we're playing 4 tests in India in Feb/Mar. and then ashes time. There's two stand alone 5 match OD series' in that 6 month break. One in England, one in the UAE against Pakistan.
