I'll say it again - we aren't actually, in terms of the scoreboard, that far above par given that this is Adelaide. Two wickets tomorrow morning and the game isn't far from even IMO. FFS this is Adelaide, where 450 isn't amazingly safe.
Borderline Gambhiring tbh.

India's ground fielding is beyond pathetic.
I watched about 20 minutes near the beginning of the day and another 30 mins around 2pm and their fielding was absolutely atrocious. Think I saw 4 or 5 mistakes at least in about 50 mins. Could've been more, it seemed like nearly every second ball was misfielded at one stage. Also saw a bouncer clear the batsman by about 3 feet and the keeper by at least a foot and a half.

But, as Gambhir said, just you wait until they get us at home...

ahhh kohli the brat is the one who appealed for obstructing the field. Then had the good grace to kick the ground next ball after the ridiculous appeal was turned down. Great ambassador for the game, him.

Unless Marsh gets another bat, he has scored the least amount of runs of any Aussie Top 6 ever in a 4 Test series (2nd overall)

1. Rutherford (NZ): 4T 7 inn 12 runs @ 1.71 (1984-85)
2. Marsh (Aus): 4T 5 Inn 17 runs @ 3.40 (2011-12)
3. Badcock (Aus): 4T 7 Inn 23 runs @ 3.83 (1938)
4. Arnold (Eng): 4T 4 inn 28 runs @ 7.00 (1903-04)
5. Sinclair (SA): 4T 5 Inn 29 runs @ 5.80 (1910-11)
They're carrying a passenger - a number 3 bat no less - and it makes no difference at all.

It does help when arguably the strongest middle order on paper in the world does actually live up to its name, to be fair.

From what little I saw it wasn't just that they weren't trying hard enough or had already given up: they were deliberately taking the piss. I saw different fielders (Ashwin, Yadav and Zaheer are the ones I can recall right now, but I was floating in and out of consciousness and definitively fell asleep just after Clarke got his century) either deliberately time slow-motion dives to ensure the ball had passed them by the time they hit the grass or sort of jog alongside the ball even though they could have fielded it with ease, making no effort to stop it and sort of ******ing it to the boundary.

It was bizarre. Someone should put out a highlights DVD: Heroic Indian Fielding Failures Abroad XVII, Australia 2011-2012.

If it were the first Test, maybe, but this has become borderline trivial, hasn't it?

It's sticking the nerdy kid's head down the toilet after you've stolen his lunch money and giving him a wedgie. You've proven your point, it's now getting a bit unneccesary.

Broad has never had an 11 Test run where he took 20 wickets @ 65.60 - but I guess that's only because Ishant is unlucky, not at all that he's abysmal.
I think you are being disingenuous there by including the stats after the England tour. Pre England there wasn't much to chose between the two. Post that they have been traveling at the same speed in opposite direction.
