Lol @ the Moneyball ratings thing. Totally missed how that team in "Moneyball" was actually put together - by selecting players statistically good at specific tasks that were under-valued or could be used to in roles in combination with other things to get the team to target goals.

All the Nine stats team have done there is give conventional stats different weightings to give us a number out of 100. In fact it's the exact sort of stat that the Moneyball principle tried to get away from. And I reckon their fielding ratings were entirely subjective too.

Wow. That Moneyball rating was interesting. Brett Lee right up there amongst the best seamers in the world - along with Lasith Malinga. Insightful work from The Crew.
