Bit harsh comparing guys in their first couple of tests with about 35,000 test runs.

I agree about the chances of guys with poor fc records miraculously become top test batsmen - I just don't happen that way, but Cowan does look like he might become a reasonably dependable (around 40 ave) player. He also looks a good fit to work with Warner who I do believe will be seriously good over a long time. Marsh obviously I've never rated so seeing him go will help us but if Khawaja doesn't step up next time he gets a chance the options after him are very thin on the ground.

It is harsh. However, the point I was making was the selection of three greehorns in the 'engine room'. One yes, two dubious, but three out of three is just not good policy.
