Ponting certainly doesn't like facing Sharma. Can see it on his face every time early on.

Bowls a angle and length that troubles him.
For some reason he gets troubled by Indian bowlers everyone else dines out on here (Ishant, Harbi).

Hats Off to India- They not only managed to keep themselves away from taking crucial wickets inspite of wet wicket due to rain but they showed that anyone who is not in form can mack a great comeback with their support...!!

Interesting to why Sharma troubles Ponting so much, because he's been gun against Morkel and Flintoff who bowl in the same style.
Morkel and Flintoff generally try to move the ball away from right handers, whereas Sharma is always pushing it into the batsman.

Ntini troubled him too IIRC.

It's the angle into him from height at that length. He likes to just push forward at everything (towards the outside of the ball),so gets cramped with the movement into him. And then he becomes unsure either way.

lol @ you thinking Hughes' problem was with the straight ball.
Obviously bowlers target the area just outside off and he invariably nicks off to Guptill. But they know that if they drift onto the legs they won't get punished like they will against Smith/Cook.

Ntini got him with some jaffas, but Ponting likes facing him the most iirc.
