Haddin should absolutely bat 8 if it's between those three. Marsh is the best bat of the lot IMO.So if Maxwell is inevitably going to get picked, where does he bat? Seems hard to fit him in the side along with Marsh if Watson and Faulkner are going to be in the team as well. Faulkner at 8 feels like a waste and Maxwell and Marsh at 5 and 6 feels fragile.
I guess if Faulkner is injured the problem kinda solves itself and Maxwell, Haddin and Marsh will end up batting 6-8.

Yeah, I still think there's plenty of better batsmen you could pick in Australia to bat in the middle order than Maxwell and Marsh though. I mean that's basically picking 4 specialist batsmen.Why would having marsh in the middle order feel fragile? His ODI batting has been pretty good.
