England certainly have the edge over Bailey. That was a horrible innings with zero confidence.

I dunno about England, I'm certainly not optimistic, but if you look at our good form when we got to number 1, and our t20 wc win, it came from solid four specialist bowlers doing their job, and not getting whacked. Yes KP was POTT in the t20 world cup, but all our bowlers(including Yardy) were remarkably solid.

Some praise needs to be given to Woakes, because lets face it many of us didn't rate him in this form. I didn't rate him in any form, but most of the Woakes fans here cried about him playing ODI's because it was ruining him for tests boo-hoo. Yet **** me fair play to him, he's upped his pace, he's started to bowl with real intelligence and has now become a vital part of the side. Takes wickets in middle overs.

I would say well done to the selectors for picking him, but they've also picked the likes of Dernbach, Gurney, Rankin and Jordan concurrently, so I reckon they probably just got lucky here..

He certainly helps in being a pretty decent number 8 too.
Honestly, with the exception of bat at 8, I cant see much about Woakes that I couldnt do myself. C level cricketer at best IMO
