Tried to explain it to you. I don't think you'll ever agree. If you can't tell the difference, I'm not sure how else anyone can put it. Best to extricate myself from the discussion at this point.
So how do you treat Nixon?

He has, after all, committed basically the same offence and that must produce a conundrum for administrators.

The options are:

1. apply the same penalties to him (which would be ridiculous because no-one has complained and the target of the abuse actually credited him with providing additional motivation); or

2. you dismiss the charge of racism against Gibbs and either penalise him for bringing the game into disrepute etc or do nothing which will risk the wrath of offended parties; or

3. you admit that cricket requires different rules for different cultures (which will never work).

Stop ignoring the history of associating animals with blacks/Indians/Pakistanis etc. You haven't experienced it and you have no idea what effect it has on a person, so even the mention of zoo animals in association with being Pakistani is a racist and derogatory statement.

So how and why should Nixon be punished?

Stop acting like racism doesn't exist and stop acting like you actually know **** about racism. You have no idea, yet you see fit to preach to us who have actually experienced it and know how damaging it can be. You've already insinuated that 'coloured' people and Pakistanis are the same, so what, are we all the same to you? Get a ****ing clue. It's amazing how you can keep talking ****.

Geez. I don't think anyone on this forum could piss me off more than you.

Of course racism exists and because you've ecountered it you dont even stop to think that provocation causes people to say things that can be misinterpreted as such.

Gibbs is a colored man living in SA - do you really think that he has no idea about the topic?

Do you really think that he cant empathise with Pakistanis playing a game previously controlled by the white man?

Do you really think that he cant empathise with another minority simply because he's a different nationality?

He called a group of disgracefully behaved Pakistanis "animals".

Where's your evidence that he was referring to Pakistanis in general?

I've already said many, many times that he should be penalised for ordinary behaviour.

Anyway, why shouldnt Nixon be punished for the same thing?

Or is this a one-way street in your book?

So what should Paul Nixon's fate be as he was clearly seen calling Hussey several nasty names including shock, horror, gasp "Australian"?
Such as, for example?

"Stupid Australian p****" amongst them, or something of the like?

It's a highly offensive term over here, just as bad as the N word. That would most certainly be a racist phrase.
I understand that, that's my point. Would the ICC take an even stricter stance, even if Gibbs was unaware or ignorant of the fact that **** is more offensive in the UK compared to other countries?
