*Official* Fourth Test at Trent Bridge

Ball moved late on Clarke and that did him. Not terrible tbf. The first innings dismissals for half the team were worse IMO.
I concur.

Athers analysed it well with the replays. A number of balls he could just about leave alone and then one a little bit closer.

The ball swinging delightfully late here.

From what I've seen of this game (very little tbh) most of the balls are bouncing and swinging an insane amount. So can't really put all the blame on Aussie batters.

Very little as in one or two Stokes overs? Not that much swing or movement, just enough to expose bad techniques.

Hardly insane.

Far from rare in England.

And England scored nearly 400 followed by an Aussie 1st wicket 100 stand. These are far from unplayable conditions - just not a road (and the cricket is better for it).

Yeah lol, I've mostly seen Stokes this innings and a bit of Broad.

But that delivery that hit Clarke on the front pad and the one right after (bouncer) was absolutely unplayable.

Nevill is definitely the type of player Australia needs for the next few years. Give him the next 5 tests regardless of scores.

Forgetting M Marsh, to get Faulkner (8) and Maxwell (6) in the Australian team, Lyon, or one of the three front line seamers gets dropped.
Lyon being dropped again? I thought we were past that. Maxwell as a front line spinner in test matches is copying what England have done to a large degree, but lots of pressure on Maxwell as a bat in that scenario.

Mate, read the context. I just answered another poster's question.

I wouldn't necessarily drop Lyon. I would think about dropping Johnson, Starc or Hazelwood for Faulkner. Aus needs his batting at 8.

Ponting just became mediocre. Clarke looks totally shot.
In these conditions. Which he has never excelled in anyway. If he can't score at home on roads then it is over but he deserves a home summer to try given we already have other movement in the top order.
