There's no point, I was just wanting to know why there is so much variation despite certain people being right or left hand dominant.
Yeah, it's pretty random tbh. I bat right handed because that's what most of the guys on the telly did when I started playing and I knew nothing better. I can certainly see how big cricket parents might get their kid to have a dominant top hand though.Different junior coaches basically. There's a school of thought that suggests people should bat opposite-handed, and coaches/fathers that belong to that school will try to get kids batting that way. Others believe it's more natural for players to pick up the bat like it's an axe even if you end up a bit bottom-hand dominant as a result. Given we have such variation at the top level, it's probably safe to say there's no right or wrong way of doing it.
God make it stop.Actually believe this is the right attack for this pitch despite the selectors harping about too much of a sameness in the attack.Bird is McGrath clown.Difficult to understand how Starc was selected ahead of him.Starc would be cannon fold on this pitch. This attck should be our attack moving forward imo (With Patto in the wings).
got a genuine laugh out of meBird is McGrath clown.
If there was an LBW that you could walk for, that was it. Took Cook about half a second to know he was toast.Great ball, been really impressed with Bird. England in trouble, said I had a bad feeling...
Surprised Cook didn't review, he is normally quite a greedy **** with them. Was dead though.
Cook's never really been a Misbah or Watson when it comes to his LBW's tbh. Think Monday was the exception, rather than the norm.surprised cook didnt review itbt
