Different junior coaches basically. There's a school of thought that suggests people should bat opposite-handed, and coaches/fathers that belong to that school will try to get kids batting that way. Others believe it's more natural for players to pick up the bat like it's an axe even if you end up a bit bottom-hand dominant as a result.
