All that's true as well. It goes both ways. It makes you appreciate though, that having the likes of McGrath and Warne made these "little events" largely irrelevant for Australia in their prime. They created enough opportunities that one would eventually be taken.

I was reminded of the recent match at Mohali. Hilfenhaus gets Gambhir first over for a duck (terrible decision) and from that moment, you knew that 216 would be a long, hard chase for the Indians. Similarly, India get Hussey with a bad decision in the 2nd innings at Bangalore, break an annoying partnership and go on to chase 200 odd comfortably. All the teams in world cricket right now need these little "leg-ups" to win because they aren't good enough to make them irrelevant.

wides from bouncers are becoming a joke, shouldn't even be a limit to shoulder high bouncers anyway.

Absolutely. Key is avoiding the English disease of losing the series after the 1st Test, same as 2009.

268/1 on the fourth day? Clearly Australia is not a suitable place to host test matches. I propose that future non-England Ashes games be moved to India.:dry:
