Yes, it makes absolutely no sense from a logical point of view. He hasn't won a toss for so long maybe he didn't plan for it.

I guess if there is any chance of movement they really didn't want to get Broaded out for 60 again.
He’ll be bowling last after we lead on the first innings by 400

Interesting watching the players walk down the steps together, they're still a very friendly bunch. Woakes/Starc, Anderson/Hazelwood, Root/Labuschagne all having a good chat.

Don't see any problem with playing hard on the field and then being a bit friendly off it and perhaps have a beer at the end of the series.

DK working this Test again. Was asking for "great one-liners" to use on comms on Twitter yesterday. Excited to hear some of absolute dire stuff he comes out with during this Test.
They got the wrong DK. They should've flown the great DK Morrison in from commentary work in the US.

The pitch does definitely not look like a bowl first pitch by Oval standards. On the other hand, Mark Wood will be excited by the cracks that are just poking through.

I will be EXTREMELY glad not to have to hear jerusalem again for a while after this Test

Horrid tradition that
many think it is the national anthem, in their minds and they wish it was. it's ok, better than the tripe England carries off as its national anthem, but still not as great as some make out
