**Official** English Football Season 2024/25

It looked like a double-kick but I haven't seen an angle where I'd say it's 100% conclusive.
I think I saw one angle where you can see his foot actually move slightly as a result of the ball hitting it. The flight of the ball left me no doubt it was a double hit, looked odd from the moment he hit it and I wasn't surprised it got checked.

But just another example of how Real get the luck in Europe.

And what a two legged tie it was!
My main memories of it all include Mad Jens making a great save from Raul at Highbury, and Eboue (deputising for Lauren) putting in a performance at the Bernabeu that tricked everyone into thinking he was the second coming of Cafu rather than a complete donkey.

The myth of Old Trafford is still a thing in the minds of European clubs it would seem. We all know they're **** but the message hasn't reached mainland Europe yet!

I'm not sure he will make it in this league, but their is some sort of player their IMO.

It wasn't the Man U "mystique" which killed Real tonight, it was more them been absolutely bang average IMO.

It does seem a nailed on Bilbao/ v Lazio/ Spurs final which tbf could be a cracking final IMO.

I don't know what's funnier - Arsenal fans trying to convince themselves they're a hope against Madrid, or United fans trying to convince people that beating Sociedad is something special.

I think Arsenal are something like 6/5 .aka 2.2 or whatever v Real so some people think its not a foregone conclusion.

Most Man U fans know Sociedad are poor enough and would get spanked by a lot of midtable premier league teams, but they don't win many games, let alone score 4 goals so may as well dine out on it lol.

Eboue was mediocre af and a bit daft but he copped some incredible hate back in the day.

Yeah. He was rarely quite as bad as was often made out, I always thought. He was mostly actually pretty serviceable. There were some absolutely dire performances/moments though.

That might just be the first leg. Arsenal can probably win that tie tbf.

It's the return leg at the Bernabeu where they will experience European heritage

The thing is, they're not even a great team at the moment. But boy do they have some luck when it comes to European ties. I fancy someone might beat them this year, but I doubt it's Arsenal without Saka/Havertz/Martinelli.

I see Pup is taking Liverpool getting dumped out of Europe well.
That's what you took from me saying I think it's a good thing if the remaining English sides go deep in the competition?

I had nothing but praise for PSG. We've got other priorities and have won it 6 times so it was a free hit for us

Just let the fella talk to himself.
Pep does it too... it's a sign of genius ;)

Stay humble, eh
