**Official** English Football Season 2024/25

Conditions were part of it but that was a better team performance. The 11 that started seem to be Amorims 1st choice and like Ole and ETH he will learn that he has to rotate even if he doesn’t have the depth. The chopping and changing of the lineup has been an issue but Amorim is trying to figure out how good the squad is.

Ugarte looked dead on his legs at the end and he didn’t trust anyone to come on.
As Kraken said, they desperately need Collyer to hit the ground running when he gets a chance because their isn't many options.

Shocked by how positive Dalot was today, he's been diabolical going forward for a few months.

The obvious negative though, not sure Rasmus is anywhere near ready to lead the line.

For Liverpool, they have a nice cushion, but that's a reminder their will be a few twists and turns , those 2 games away v Brentford and Forest will be very interesting now.

Remembering Skipper’s ‘Trent being a defensive liability is a myth’ chat as he got rinsed repeatedly by Diogo ****ing Dalot.
Pathetic comment when you've seen his defence improve out of sight this season and you wait 19 games to go after him. Countless recent articles have covered this, including https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/25/world/europe/arsenal-liverpool-trent-alexander-arnold.html
- I expect better analysis from someone who actually watches football... maybe you don't watch much of it.

Unfortunately he looks disinterested and I think a decision about his future has already been made. There is no substitute for application and right now if I was the club I would be selling him. He gave the ball away 16 times, more than anyone else on the pitch. If (big if) he is actually staying he needs to come out and say it, he's clearly distracted by the circus around his contract.

No excuse for someone of that ability to down tools and perform like that in such a big game.

Credit to United though, that was the best they have looked in a very long time.

I was really impressed by Ugarte and Dalot. Will be interesting to see if they can repeat that performance.

As bad as Trent was, Curtis wasn't much better. Both the scousers should have been hooked at half time.

Slot got outclassed tactically. I would have liked Endo to get involved, he loves that sort of game. Not sure how long Bradley could've played but it would have been worth the risk to bring him on earlier imo.

Hahaha what are you talking about, I called it out at the time. It wound you up pretty bad then too.

I think it’s underselling it to say he’s prone to brain fades. Napoli, Real Madrid and a few others have really hurt Liverpool in the past couple of seasons with specific plans to attack the space behind him, and he lets in a few goals at the back post that a better defender would cut out. There was a time when it was such a glaring weakness that Klopp moved him into midfield. It’s not as bad as it was in the first half of 2022/23, but it’s still something that needs to be accounted for tactically. He’s so good on the ball that it’s worth doing, but you can’t just stick him at RB and let him cook.
