Saudi isn't going to be the saviour for anyone. They have foreign player limits and only 4 or 5 clubs that actually have PIF backing. There's not that many spots left unless they unload players on Qatar or whatever. The time to cash in on Saudi clubs was the big first summer when Ney, Benz, Mahrez etc went there. You could see guys like Salah or whatever go there but the days of offloading your overpaid aging trundlers are gone imo.
Praying they save us after we offer Salah a 3yr deal and his performances drop off a cliff next season.

A good win for set piece FC. Brentford is a tricky away game.

How far do Arsenal go in Champions League this season?

If they can't get themselves back into the title race it would make sense the priority shifts to Europe. Their defence is as good as any, they're a huge threat from set pieces and their style of play should suit knock out football (although I think they would be better off in the old away goals system).

In terms of teams they would 'fear' - I think they would struggle against Inter, R Madrid, Atletico and Liverpool. I think they would want to avoid Villa for obvious reasons too - Emery is a headache in Europe. I give them a punchers chance over two legs against both Barca and Bayern.

Otherwise, Atalanta would be an issue but I think their attention will shift to Serie A (the same might happen for Atletico). Lille and Leverkusen are exciting but Arsenal would deal with them pretty easily over two legs I think.

Dortmund, PSG, Juve and the Portuguese sides are all not really at it and Milan are rubbish.
Think liverpool have cl in bag. City's form is iffy bayern might now focus more on bundesliga Barcelona have lost form and Italian clubs dont look good enough to go all the way. Only threat could be real Madrid esp they are known to peak in knockouts

Hope they buy somebody like omar mamoush or nicho willams in case salah doesn't sign contract
I don't want either. Nico is a LW and Mamoush is a striker. Neither would be suitable.

We won't be able to replace Salah's output irrespective of who we buy. Realistically I would love if we got Kudus, he's the closest thing I have seen to Sadio Mane... however, I hope we make an effort to get Rodrygo first (if Madrid are selling).

Outside of those two, I could understand Mbuemo or Xavi Simmons for the right price and then spending up big at striker (I want Joao Pedro).

Not interested in many other RWs, especially not if they're coming from Germany or Spain.

He's probably the most beloved Muslim sportsman in the world, so unless he turns into a turnip overnight , their will always be suitors for him in Saudi.
Not to mention he could have a Balon D'or and another prem title to his name..

We're all nostalgic to some degree but the accolades Salah will have by the time he leaves Liverpool are already putting him in some intriguing legacy conversations.

Good old Ange Ball.
I thought that first goal of Newcastle's was a shocking decision. I turned that game off at half time.

Meanwhile Arsenal punished for parking the bus at 1-0 up. Substituting Nwaneri has to go down as one of the dumbest moves of all time. Surely can't have been a tactical change...
