Tristan Crama is a beautiful man in every way. swoons

Gotta say think Citeh have been pretty lucky for a fair few matches this year, but they've been dominant here, until about 5 minutes ago, wow.

McTominay has been a huge signing for Napoli. Crucial goal at the San Siro to keep them top of the table.

Would be rather funny if being forced out led to him winning Serie A.

Starting to wonder how Liverpool don't win the title. City without Rodri are a mess, these defeats are hardly a surprise given how they were struggling to beat Southampton and Wolves just before the run started.

I suspect the biggest challenge will come from Arsenal who will probably be much closer than 9 points behind by the start of Jan.

City always pick up after Christmas. It would be foolish to call them out of it this early imo.

The Rodri injury has massively hurt them though.

It'll come down to which of the three makes the best January signings.

LFC are an injury or two away from disaster, particularly short in centre midfield and centre defence.

Liverpool don't have the depth for it imo (not that Arsenal necessarily do either, mind you). For them to realistically have a shout they'll essentially need to sustain their current form for the entire season, and that will likely require them to keep their entire squad fit for the duration. And I don't much fancy their chances of doing that.

Really depends who and when. There was a 6-7 game stretch last season that we had no Salah, Trent, Alisson, Robertson, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, or Jota. That was around late Jan/early Feb - famously where the kids played the cup final against Chelsea. We kept pace during that period and fell away when the first team guys returned.

I've maintained the Rodri injury was the pivotal point this season, he's irreplaceable no matter how much they spend. If they can get Stones and Dias fit that'll help turn things around. Their other issue will be keeping Haaland fit cause they have no back up there either.

As far as Arsenal go, they haven't really had much of note to deal with, they've just been blessed with great luck the last few campaigns so losing a player or two feels like some sort of crisis. Arteta only has himself to blame for their lack of depth in key positions.

They have a deeper squad than City do and that's before the injury woes at the club.

City won't sign anyone (of any significance) in January - feel free to quote me if they do - but I'd bet a decent chunk on it.
What makes you say that? They didnt spend much in the summer and the squad is quite clearly ageing and in need of a refresh.

FWIW, I think you're probably right.. but if I was City's powerbrokers I'd rather spend the cash now then have to face a whole re-build without Pep.

This David Coote thing is fun. Not sure anyone should lose their job for calling Klopp a ****. But he’s obviously been a bit naive tstl.

Yeah that video has pissed me off. He was proper awful against Villa the other day too.

I haven't gone down the conspiracy rabbit hole too much on it (all PGMOL refs are ****) but I know he was involved in the Everton game when VVD tore his ACL and they incorrectly called Mane offside when we scored the winner. The gross negligence that went down that day doesn't surprise me now I see something like that.

Refs hated Klopp and that's fair enough but PGMOL have been exposed beyond any doubt now, not a shred of impartiality left.
