I have absolutely no doubt that the reason that handball was given was as a result of the reaction by the PSG players. It was an orchestrated assault on the ref to make him think he'd got it so badly wrong it simply had to be a pen.

But why on earth is VAR even making him look at it?

Still, if Newcastle beat Milan (who have been pretty shoddy on the road) then it means PSG will have to win in Dortmund to go through (which on current form doesn't look likely).

Yeah it's a ****ty one but I don't think it's much worse than loads of others I've seen given, including pre VAR ones.
The VAR thing is a big part of what makes it so terrible though. They're not just ****ing up the game in real time, which is more excusable, they're going out of their way to make dogshit calls after the fact.

Still as mad the next day tbh.

Yeah fair enough tbh. I sympathise, but not that much because I'm still mad about Newcastle's VAR jibbing of Arsenal a few weeks back. What goes around etc.

Massimo Taibi now has a genuine claim to no longer being the worst keeper Man Utd ever had.
Yes without doubt the worst keeper United have had in the last 20 years , he is absolutely ****ing worthless.

its bizarre that he ranks highly according to one of those xg against stats they have for goalies but everytime you watch him play he looks so unconvincing

note those stats were only for the premier league

Yeah he’s been alright in the league, made some very good saves but got away with a few big mistakes. In Europe he’s been a complete disaster. Looks terrible technically too, no idea at all what he’s doing on the second goal.

I don't even dislike Utd that much these days, so usually feel fairly indifferent about them, but Garnacho really is one of those players who makes you feel delighted when they fail.

Onana was also pretty iffy on the goal that was ruled out for offside tbh. Just ball-watching and then sort of fell over backwards.

PSG or Newcastle, can't say I fancy either of them in Europa. I'd probably lean towards facing Newcastle if we had to, don't want a bar of Mbappe in a knockout game. The problem with this is that Dortmund could very easily play a second string side knowing they are already through and they have a league race to try get back into.

Pretty sure Uppercut felt the same about a young David de Gea.
I hope this is a joke haha. De Gea shouldn't be used in any sort of conversation/comparison with Onana... that makes me feel sick:sick:

Dortmund need a point to guarantee top spot, a defeat would leave them second and a much harder draw in the last 16. There's plenty of incentive for them to play a full strength team.
