BARNES OUT
That worked well last season. If I was to bet, I'd bet on Guardiola playing an overly defensive team and losing the away leg 2-0 before winning 3-1 or 4-2 at home.

Which was an absolutely **** rule change.Yeah, can't get a red for accidental fouls in the box anymore.
Yeah, I've enjoyed the intensity of it. That penalty foul was a real brain fade to give away. This Old Firm has a lot more quality than the last one I watched a couple of years ago.
Yeah I don't see an argument against it. You're not denying a clear and obvious goal scoring opportunity if the side get a free shot that is scored three quarters of the time.Straight reds. It was a good rule change. Should have happened years ago.
Trouble with getting the new manager bounce at Christmas with a depleted squad is the legs just go. You saw what happened once we opened up again after the equaliser. We actually soaked pressure up surprisingly well though before the Leno howler. Much better than 90% of Emery games in that regard.Arsenal haven’t been half as good as Gary Neville seems to think. They soaked up pressure on a one goal lead for an hour before letting in 2 goals. Should’ve been putting their foot down but they created almost nothing after the first 20 minutes.
It felt a lot like United vs Liverpool, a performance I was also unimpressed by. They scored, stopped attacking, then defended well except when they didn’t. Not making big mistakes is the whole point of soaking up pressure.Trouble with getting the new manager bounce at Christmas with a depleted squad is the legs just go.
