This Old Firm has a lot more quality than the last one I watched a couple of years ago.
Yeah, I've enjoyed the intensity of it. That penalty foul was a real brain fade to give away.

And as I'm typing, Rangers have punished them with a decent Ryan Kent goal. Former Liverpool man btw haha.

Straight reds. It was a good rule change. Should have happened years ago.
Yeah I don't see an argument against it. You're not denying a clear and obvious goal scoring opportunity if the side get a free shot that is scored three quarters of the time.

Arsenal have been dominating here but that’s a second yellow for Guendouzi if the ref sees it.

Arsenal haven’t been half as good as Gary Neville seems to think. They soaked up pressure on a one goal lead for an hour before letting in 2 goals. Should’ve been putting their foot down but they created almost nothing after the first 20 minutes.

Trouble with getting the new manager bounce at Christmas with a depleted squad is the legs just go. You saw what happened once we opened up again after the equaliser. We actually soaked pressure up surprisingly well though before the Leno howler. Much better than 90% of Emery games in that regard.

It felt a lot like United vs Liverpool, a performance I was also unimpressed by. They scored, stopped attacking, then defended well except when they didn’t. Not making big mistakes is the whole point of soaking up pressure.

But yeah their shape was much better than under Emery. I’d still be moderately confident about Arsenal long-term but the squad needs quite a bit of churn so they might be frustrating for another 18 months or so.

to me although liverpool is ahead on points, Leicester City and Manchester City can still create a surprise.
