Honestly, at this point I feel sorry for Arsenal fans and the club. Deserve more than this. Reminds me of that **** period after Rafa and before FSG got their **** together. LFC stagnated and was going down the tubes. Thank **** for Klopp.

Feel really sorry for the fans certainly. The club? No **** them tbh, if Piers ****ing Morgan could spot that Wenger was finished years ago, then so should they. The lack of trophies or contention for anything major bar the FA cup now and then also should have been a giveaway.

They had a rubbish season last year bar the FA Cup, but they for reasons unknown elected to persist with the washed up Wenger. They don't deserve **** for such stupidity and arrogance.

I think his sympathy is with the fans and employees of the club rather than the owners, manager or players.

The fans aren't the most sympathetic community either tbf, but the manner of the demise really doesn't feel right. I enjoyed it when Leeds did a Leeds, but this is different. Leeds was failure through incompetence, this is failure through indifference.

I got James Montague's new book about billionaire club owners and I haven't read it yet but apparently Kroenke comes across as the biggest ****ing **** in a book full of ****ing shits.

Quite glad the club don't base their decisions on the whims of Piers Morgan tbh.
Stopped clocks etc.

I understand at times fans can be over the top with manager criticism, but Wenger should have been gone years ago. Its all well and good Arsenal trying to have the moral high ground on those reactionary fans, but they have absolutely **** all to show for it.

We've signed Jayden Stockley, bit worried about the fact he's suspended for Europe though......

And now Arsenal apparently launch a £90m bid for Thomas Lemar.

Ninety million pounds.

World's gone mad.

From the Guardian:

Alexis Sanchez is staying at Arsenal. That is the message from the club and it would now be a shock if there were to be any late turns to this infernal saga (it takes a toll, you know!). Manchester City came in earlier today with a second offer for the Chile striker – of £55m, plus £5m in add-ons – but it has come down to Arsenal being able to sign a new attacking player. Quite simply, they look to have run out of time on that front. They wanted Monaco’s Thomas Lemar and the French club demanded that they pay 100m euros for him. Which Arsenal indicated they were willing to do. But there appears to be insufficient time for Arsenal to now agree a package with Lemar, particularly as he is in the France squad for this evening’s game against Holland – which kicks off in about three hours. Were Arsenal able to get Lemar, they would have been inclined to take the £60m from City for Sanchez. But it is unlikely to happen now.

Great, now we lose him for free next season. Just hope he can stay motivated for this one at least.

I did find Wenger's moaning about the squad size somewhat ironic, when he's the one who's been stuffing it full of shite. If someone can give me a convincing argument as to the point of Lucas Perez's existence or explain why Joel Campbell is still at the club then I'm all ears.

Tbh I still think Wenger did a good job up until the 2015 window where he blew a golden opportunity to go for the league. Even then we probably would've won it if not for Cazorla getting hurt. Last season and the start of this season is the first time it's started to look like we're not one of the best four teams in the country.

Sounds like Lemar would have turned Arsenal down anyway, which is pretty lolsy. How the mighty have fallen etc.
