Darmian coming on for Fosu Mensah was the turning point.

Our attack is so painfully ineffective, no idea what their plan is. We actually fought pretty well today, but Spurs fought just as well then had some quality to go with it.

Young on for Rashford to play up front was laughable.

Only listened on the radio, but did we really play one up top, with that one being Young, for so long? What the actual....


I suppose the one thing we can take out of this season, and I suppose the whole LVG era, is the number of decent youngsters who'll make useful squad players (possibly more) going forward. Fergie was always clear that he saw the likes of P.Nev, O'Shea etc as just as important for his title wins - players one step below the first team, but with enough skill to plug a hole and the desire to play for Utd born through coming up the ranks.

Young played up front on his own from the half till the Fosu-Mensah injury. Looked like a headless chicken.

We played at our current level to hold them for 70 minutes without creating much. Concerning that 1 became 3 very easily. I can see the players not being arsed to put in if 4th slips before the last game.

A winger/wing-back on his own up top while a striker played on the wing, with a number 10 on the other wing while a winger played at number 10? The only shock is that, as a United fan who has watched us under Van Gaal, you're even remotely surprised by this.

4 points and 16 goals difference. So that's really a 5 point turn around in 6 games. Not impossible but given Uniteds inconsistency I won't be putting any money on it.
