Yeah, "form" was probably the wrong word but four wins in a row is as good as it gets for us these days so it was a run of something.

I agree about the Glazers attitude to it all, but someone needs to point out that winning teams are generally much more marketable than losing ones, particularly when they lose with such a lack of style and imagination.

Dunno, it was poor yes, but Mata massively let us down. A Pullis side is always going to be tough at the back, and we needed Mata to find the gaps for our quick attacking trio. Getting sent off so early allowed the WBA midfield to actually look forwards for once in their careers, and it took an un-Pullis move (using an actual fullback) to make the chance. To me its hard to have a go at LVG when one of his most senior players did such a stupid thing so early.
Yeah clearly Mata was the main reason we lost. LVG's subs were bizarre but that's just standard. But looking at the bigger picture, no denying he's been a terrible manager and very obviously should have been sacked after Norwich or Stoke over Christmas.

A goal up, a man up, at home, against this Liverpool side - and Palace still lose. They're playing like a team who deserve to be relegated, and on current form - even allowing for some of the direness below them - they may well be.
Oh there's every chance that we're going down. With about 35 points on present form.

Even allowing for Pardew's legendary second season syndrome, this has been astonishing. I don't know whether its because he and the players had started to believe their own publicity, or whatever, but it's going to take something extraordinary to turn this lot around now. I know Villa are gone and Newcastle may well be, but you'd think Sunderland, Norwich et al will all end up with something around 40 points.

Makes the famous 1993 relegation-from nowhere look like a golden age.

Nah it won't happen. Norwich and the North East teams are both worse, even if you didn't have a big head start I would expect you to finish above them.

Even allowing for being down to ten the team was disappointing today. Depay was missed and so were the young fullbacks like Varela who offer much more in attack than Rojo and Darmian. As the other 1st teamsters get fit they will go back into the team. The youth success was a brief happy accident.

Crystal Palace could do a Norwich 1994-95 run and slip and slide down the ladder to relegation. Here is an historical stat. Norwich were 7th at Christmas in 1994. Then suddenly only one win in 1995 and staggering amount of losses slid them down to the then Division One next season. Palace is without a win since December after being in 6th spot! Could lightning strike twice?
Oh and along with the fact Leicester's Herculean effort to be at the top at this stage of the year, Aston Villa very likely to be relegated for the very first time in their PL history, and you have a very strange season indeed.

Ramsey out for the season. 2nd injury Arsenal have had this season when a player has come on to replace an injured player and got injured because they weren't properly warmed up.

Paul Daniels is probably glad of the extra couple of months....
