A good League 1 footballer should be a starter up here tbh.
Well yeah I realise that now. Didn't gauge it before Ash went. There's quite a few of our ex players in the top flight over there, and we chose to get rid of most of them. And you guys have just signed O'Halloran who we had for half a season and nobody rated all that much (though I thought he had potential)

Presuming one of the ex bees Pothas is referring to is Logan, who was also with us one season

Edit - for balance, worth noting that most of the players I say we got rid of, would walk into or team now. The only one that's a bit strange is Fon Williams who is number one at Inverness. He polarised opinion with us and we never offered him a contract. Whether that's because he was too high an earner for it to be worth it, or we knew he'd not want to drop into non league given he has a good chance of going the Euros I'm not sure, but the keeper we have now is not exactly a downgrade. My assumption would be that the SPL or whatever it's called now has suffered hugely for the absence of you lot, rightly or wrongly

Graham Cummings was pretty average in our average division 4 team last year, doing alright for St Johnstone I think.

Next season's Premiership should be interesting, Celtic have declined massively, Aberdeen and Hearts have closed the gap and us and Hibs (should they come up) are easily good enough to finish top 5. Could be the most competitive season in years.

I'm confident we'll be challenging, we've got a gem of a manager and we play the best football in the country by a ****ing mile. I was really taken aback with how poor the standard was last night.

Saw a video in Twitter where the ball was just in the air being headed around for a good minute. Jesus, even we get it on the deck now and again

Inverness have had loads of ex Shrewsbury players in recent years and they were from our time in League 2 rather than League 1 players. Ryan Esson, David Raven (great player but never fit for us) and Ross Draper have all been playing for them and Lionel Ainsworth and Chris Humphrey were at Motherwell. Seems bizarre that players you see from your own club end up established players in the Scottish Prem when you know they would never be good enough to play in the Championship down here.

David Raven is another ex-TRFC. Not sure about 'great player' but I'll trust your judgement :p

Right back in league 2 he was excellent. Just never fit. Could see he was a player capable of playing higher up if he sorted his fitness out and he ended up in Scotland

If he had played more he would have gone close to being player of the year in a playoff making side, Can't ask much more than that.

****ing slow news day on Sky given how much coverage they're giving to Roberto Martinez and his dance moves.

To be honest if he's off to China rather than waiting 5 months to potentially get a move to a club as big as Liverpool, then he's really not the type of player you want.

Yeah, I'm happy we've dodged this kind of player. Just saying, the fees are ridiculous. Ramires, Mbia, Gervinho (apparently), Guarin...looks like China is gonna spend the big bucks.

lol yes, "big"
Would be churlish to deny that they're not a big club. If I was a footballer and being linked with them I'd be hoping there were other teams in for me so I could play in the Champions League and win things but come on, moving to China?

I don't much care for watching us on TV this season.

First time in a long time that we are going to have nothing to play for over the last few months of the season.

Yes, I am being somewhat facetious tbf. Mind you, the prospect of moving to China excites me more than the prospect of moving to Merseyside. Not that I am a professional footballer obviously, but still.

The prospect of you moving to merseyside would make me move to North Korea
