I keep checking the premier league standings once a month expecting Chelsea to have made a surge up the table but they constantly keep surprising me. Delightful.

It's funny looking back at his interviews where he claimed if he had performed as "badly" as Wenger he would have been given the sack.

Surely, he's got to go now. Or something has to change. Looks like he has totally lost the players.
Would love it if Wenger actually threw that comment back at him. Jose would go nuts.

Never mind losing the dressing room, has he lost the support of his backroom staff? The doctors incident might well have ****ed them off more than we've seen, and if his team aren't playing ball, then the trickle down effect on the players would be horrendous... enough to put them where they are really.

With how bloody regularly Vardy is scoring, does anyone reckon a big club will make a play for him in January?

I imagine the allure of doing something really special with Leicester would keep him at least until the end of season, but with a few teams seemingly faltering in front of goal and lots of cash on offer, will he move to a big club next season?
look up the case of Carroll, Andy

The days a club like Liverpool would just chuck all their money at Vardy in January are gone I think. Maybe if he keeps scoring at a decent rate until the summer someone might move for him, but he'll be 29 by then, his style isn't that suited to most top clubs and it's not the type of signing that would bring big marketing benefits.

Mahrez on the other hand...Can definitely see Liverpool or United going for him, though it must be noted the latter should be banned from approaching him as LVG would all but certainly destroy everything fun about him.

He's not especially young. I can't see Arse/Citeh/Utd/Spurs being keen. Liverpool are the market for English players and Chelsea like to sign players at their peak, but in both cases a summer move is much more likely. And still not all that likely imo.

I think everyone will be interested in Mahrez to some extent. Chelsea are actually a pretty obvious fit, and putting in a big performance against them always helps.

He'll attract attention from overseas too. Bayern are really keen on players like him lately, could see them moving on Robben or Ribery in the summer and getting him in to compete for one of the wide places. Probably not got the reputation to end up at RM or Barca, but if he keeps up this level for the rest of the season it's a possibility.

Yeah Bayern is a possibility. Might be a bit mainstream for them though, they don't tend to compete with the likes of City/United much unless it's for a German player. Could've gone for Sterling last summer but got Costa and Coman instead.

I think those two and the likes of Mahrez show that there are a lot of good players of that type out there who could be amazing in the right environment/system. It's about finding them.

Ha, quite funny. Those two point predictions became literally impossible by November.

Not that odd that people predicted Leicester to go down, but 13 points adrift of 17th is a heck of a lot.
