*Official* English Football Season 2015-16

That was a bad night for LVG. Powell on for Mata was insane, also Varela while promising looked very raw, Young would have been the sensible option.

Also Fellani while not the horror that some suggest, just isn't good enough for Man United, average as ****.

Real scored more goals tonight than United did in all six group matches, just for some perspective. How is this better than Moyes?

I think he has been an improvement on Moyes, but not by that much, for all the spin, all he has achieved was pipping an abysmal Liverpool side to 4th last year.

Lingaard, Varela,,Powell and Borthwick Jackson all on at the end when they were trying to nick a result to sneak through from a very easy group was hilarious.

I don't think it was a terrible performance tonight. Always going to be a tough to win at Wolfsburg, the damage was done in earlier games.

I think tonight also showed that we aren't able to play our defensive possession game when defending a lead. We saw this at Watford too. Tells you that a big part of the reason our defensive record is good is just that we've been tied with a team that's fine with a draw. Also, LVG's choice of subs were properly insane. Complete spoofer, but what can you do. Lol at us trying to brief that we passed up on Pep to keep him.

The team sheet didn't look like it was a must win game tbf. Carrick should have started IMO. Sub him later if he tires. Sideshow is a better impact sub than starter I think. At least there was goals up front. Just had some lazy defending to go with it. Also thought leaving Smalling on the field didn't help. Just play down a man if he's injured. Why make it worse just to have a body on the field. Dropping points at home was the big problem in the end. This game was always going to be tough.

Like I said, he's a complete fraud.

Enjoyed United's demise last night. Going into the Europa League won't hurt them too much though. One thing LVG is really good at is giving youth a chance so the first team players won't have to play much and it could help the young ones develop.

Arsenal on the other hand....I've managed to get into a state of hope where I'll now be really, really disappointed if we don't go through.

My prediction is that Arsenal will go 1 or 2 down, possibly before half-time, only to have their customary heroic failure comeback in the second half. They'll dominate the play, draw level, hit the post, the Olympiacos keeper will make a few handy saves, and then Giroud will get an open goal opportunity in the dying moments and shank it.

Arsenal basically have to score three. If they do then they're all but through, unless they somehow manage to draw 3-3 or lost 3-4.

Didn't actually realise that tbh, I just thought they had to win. In any case, I'm still backing my prediction to hold true. Might be willing to negotiate on the identity of the player who does a Gervinho.

Feel sorry for him, as he's always come across as a thoroughly earnest and decent bloke. Arguably a bit tough on him, I'd say, even if their results haven't been great, but it's definitely not one of those sackings where your immediate reaction is to think how unjust the whole thing is.
