I'm not a betting man, but a 2-2 draw here get me a few quid on the back of a free bet, so I shall even watch this one, well certainly the closing stages

They have sold players for huge sums so you can't use that excuse. With the money from the tv deals no club in the Prem for long periods should be in trouble. They just haven't invested in the side like Newcastle and they are both paying the price now.
They didn't invest because O'Neill left a bloated squad full of dross on massive wages.

Terrible game. Might open up after all the bookings because at the minute any dangerous situation is just ending with a tactical foul.

Officials getting an absurd number of small decisions wrong too.

Tangles

International Vice-Captain
Been watching Rooneys first touch. Might be the worst in the team. The difference between his and Matas is laughable.

He left 5 years ago and the tv money has gone through the roof since. No excuse for not investing over the last couple of years.
*Furball not entirely logical in his hate of a former Celtic manager shock, horror, colour me surprised*

BTW gawd this match is toilet.

Might be the worst Manchester derby I've ever seen. Pellegrini clearly delighted with a draw which I guess is progress since they've been beating us for fun lately.
Toure clearly won't work at 10 at his age, especially not when they're looking to counter. If he couldn't trust him at CM he needed to just drop him and put Sterling or KDB at 10. Hindsight though. Also if he dropped Toure and they lost he'd be blamed in the media.

Don't know what else can be said about Rooney. Tragic to see Martial spend entire games on the touch line with nothing happening up front.

From an England point of view and I know this sounds bad but it may be better if he gets injured just before the Euros. He looks to have gone, a shadow of the player he was.

Pretty turgid watch. Wasn't even down to the fact that either team was overtly playing for the draw either. Just seemed neither team really had the quality to unlock the other's defence.

Bringing on Demichelis as a midfielder to play alongside Fernandinho and Fernando surely counts as playing for the draw. Not that I think there's anything wrong with that.

Yeah, I suppose by that stage City's tactics had gone that way tbf. More or less up to that point though I'd say that, whilst both teams were being cautious, they were looking for the win. There were numerous of counter attacking opportunities that came up, but most were squandered due to crap passing/running straight into the waiting defender/bad reffing.

As an away side it was understandable though. Take the point and run and a tough game out of the way without defeat.

It is United who were the bigger disappointment as those are the games they need to win if they want to be in the title race.

Safe to say that doesn't exactly decrease any belief that Arsenal can win the league. Decent result for City though.

genuinely think it will be a 2 horse race between City and Arsenal. Key to the whole season may be which of Aguero and Sanchez stays fitter.

Don't think United have the quality to win the important matches.

Realistically we're not as good as Arsenal or Citeh currently. But we can stay in touch and hope to improve as the season goes on. Lots of times the team playing best in October doesn't end up winning the title.

Yeah, City and Arsenal are on another level in the league in terms of having really good attackers in fluid systems basically creating big chances at will. United have the solidarity to be consistent against the average sides so will get 3rd or 4th easily but they just don't have the firepower of the other two.
