They asked a caller to talksport what Utd had to do to win and he said "Hope that Rooney gets injured early. "
They didn't invest because O'Neill left a bloated squad full of dross on massive wages. They have sold players for huge sums so you can't use that excuse. With the money from the tv deals no club in the Prem for long periods should be in trouble. They just haven't invested in the side like Newcastle and they are both paying the price now.
He left 5 years ago and the tv money has gone through the roof since. No excuse for not investing over the last couple of years. They didn't invest because O'Neill left a bloated squad full of dross on massive wages.
*Furball not entirely logical in his hate of a former Celtic manager shock, horror, colour me surprised*He left 5 years ago and the tv money has gone through the roof since. No excuse for not investing over the last couple of years.
From an England point of view and I know this sounds bad but it may be better if he gets injured just before the Euros. He looks to have gone, a shadow of the player he was.Don't know what else can be said about Rooney. Tragic to see Martial spend entire games on the touch line with nothing happening up front.
Bringing on Demichelis as a midfielder to play alongside Fernandinho and Fernando surely counts as playing for the draw. Not that I think there's anything wrong with that.Pretty turgid watch. Wasn't even down to the fact that either team was overtly playing for the draw either. Just seemed neither team really had the quality to unlock the other's defence.
Yeah, I suppose by that stage City's tactics had gone that way tbf. More or less up to that point though I'd say that, whilst both teams were being cautious, they were looking for the win. There were numerous of counter attacking opportunities that came up, but most were squandered due to crap passing/running straight into the waiting defender/bad reffing.Bringing on Demichelis as a midfielder to play alongside Fernandinho and Fernando surely counts as playing for the draw. Not that I think there's anything wrong with that.
As an away side it was understandable though. Take the point and run and a tough game out of the way without defeat.Bringing on Demichelis as a midfielder to play alongside Fernandinho and Fernando surely counts as playing for the draw. Not that I think there's anything wrong with that.
genuinely think it will be a 2 horse race between City and Arsenal. Key to the whole season may be which of Aguero and Sanchez stays fitter.Safe to say that doesn't exactly decrease any belief that Arsenal can win the league. Decent result for City though.
Been on a gradual decline for over a decade. From an England point of view and I know this sounds bad but it may be better if he gets injured just before the Euros. He looks to have gone, a shadow of the player he was.
