I like the Uefa coefficient as a means of seeding, but think there's a couple of obvious flaws. Arsenal should obviously not be a higher seed than Juventus and PSG because they did better in 2010-12. The equal ratings for the Europa League is also weird.
Less trollish response, I remember the years when Dortmund won the Bundesliga and were still stuffed in pot 3. At least we avoid that now.

I think some age factor would be good yeah. 20 % pro year (then you also would avoid that points count the same for 5 years and then suddenly fall off) for example. Would have same top 5, but Juventus would then be 6th, PSG 7th, Dortmund 8th.

Mind, there's also UC's point to consider, not to make things too formulaic

Interesting. You lot should certainly go of him, play him as a striker? I would have though City would be keen as well, would obviously play a different role for them.

It's just far too rigid. The point of seeding is to keep the best teams apart until the latter stages. But that needs to be traded off against giving an enormous advantage to established clubs, as well as the risk of making the first round boring and predictable. At the moment the balance is ****ed. What's the point of the second, third and fourth pots? Is it really negatively impacting the competition if one of United and Valencia go out in the group stages? I think three of those teams+ a top seed would be a perfectly good group.

Seriously though we're kind of in a weird situation because we've got loads of wide players/second strikers. Playing him as a striker isn't a bad idea, though preferably I'd rather have someone a bit bigger and more capable of acting as a target man.

I'm pretty sure he wants to live in London. Going to one of the superclubs wouldn't be the right move anyway, should go to Arsenal for now then move on if/when he steps his game up another level.
