I don't know what's better, the fact that he managed to actually clear the ball with his head or that Giroud was outpaced by a crawling Jones.

Of course it's good defending. The awareness to pull that off all while you're falling over is astounding. Any defender, no matter how good they are, can trip over sometimes but I doubt that many of them would have the acumen to think to do that, especially with how incredibly dangerous it is.

Though to be honest Jones does have more experience falling over than most defenders.
Was really happy with our first half, played really well. We didn't really regress until Falcao went off. Read in the papers they said he was a disappointment again, but he was pulling the Arsenal back line about by constantly being on their shoulder, creating room for our midfield in front. Compare that to Rooney always wanting to drop deep and how other games we get crowded out when we attack and you'll notice what effect he had. He was also winning the ball well off the Arsenal defence and getting into some very good positions - Young mi**** a low cross into Ospina's arms, when Falcao had got in front of the defender and was ready to tap in. Likewise for Herrera's goal he got himself free at the back post, ready for the mi**** or save.
He deserves far more credit for what he did yesterday imo

poor guy. The Italians have been brilliant with the tributes to Stevie - Del Piero, Maldini and Pirlo have chimed in recently. I reckon a lot of the English players are respected more abroad.

I like it because it makes the seedings less accurate. They've been far too rigid recently, this year's group stages were terrible. I think the best system might be seeding the top 8 and having a free draw for everyone else.

OTOH Juventus probably belongs more in pot 1 than pot 2 from the old system these days, and it would also have placed both Benfica & Porto in pot 1.
But yeah I forgot modern football is about falling flat for the wishes of ten clubs from three leagues
