*Official* English Football Season 2014-15

I would though. Spitting's just such a snide, scummy thing to do.

7 games is too lenient IMO.
There is quite literally no logic behind this statement. As I said initially I would love to hear some rationale, but there really is none.

No-one in their right mind, when given the choice between having their career ended or having some saliva in their face would choose having their career ended.

Hey the mighty Grecians did you a favour, or you'd be in more **** than you already are. I would think we'd be quite happy with a Carlisle-Hartlepool double-relegation.
Didn't look at any results, just seen Micky's shambolic post match wankery. Wac

Yeah, at everyone in the last page or so. It was summed up for me when someone tweeted that they reckon Abou Diaby sits in the Arsenal medical room thanking his lucky stars that Dan Smith only broke his ankle and didn't spit on him and ruin his career for ever. Much like the 25yo in the viral vid who had to retire from the tackle he received. It's ****ing filth,,,,, but at least he didn't spit.

It all depends on how you view spitting. Now I didn't see the incident, but if Evans spat AT Cisse (even if it didn't hit) then I won't complain about the ban. If he spat at the ground infront of him as a gesture of disgust then its harsh.

Now over the years I've been spat on, punched, verbally insulted, threatened with weapons - some work related, most because I'm a ****. But I always felt pity for the person who spat at me. Its a sign of failure. You're too thick to beat me verbally, and too cowardly to have a swing at me - sure if I retaliate he can then have a punch, but if I don't all his next move is is to walk away beaten. Therefore I've never really been offended personally by someone spitting at me, its not like it physically hurts, and to me mentally it doesn't either.

To put some of the above in context, if you were to spit at someone on the street, you'd be committing a criminal offence. And if you spat at a police officer you'd probably end up in jail.

Look, if someone spat on me on a football field I'd probably become engulfed in rage, but if he got caught, which they pretty much always do given the cameras, then a couple hours later everything is fine and you can probably laugh at the ****s impending ban.

If he breaks your leg the next year is a massive battle to regain your fitness and even if you do the mental scaring still persists which may never leave and prevent you being the same player again. It's not comparable at all.

I don't care about the domestic competitions anymore tbh. What can we do in those to suggest we're on the up. Besides, it's not like I realistically expect us to win at Old Trafford.
Turns out I'm really nervous now. I'm probably stupid to even get nervous/excited given the likelihood of a let down, but meh.

Reckon Arsenal will start OK in a cagey game, before Koscielny will go for the red card penalty double for a lunge on Rooney in the 37th minute, which the latter will convert (hi GIMH ) easily. United will score a couple more in the second half, every Arsenal player will disgrace themselves bar Gibbs or someone equally irrelevant, and because we've hyped him up so much recently it'll probably be announced Özil has joined ISIS shortly after full time, knowing our luck.

If him coming back into the side for a big game doesn't mean a massive disaster is impending I don't know what does.

Danny Murphy (I think that's who it is anyway) is ****ing terrible. Am quite serious when I say he may be worse than Andy Townsend.

Woahh. Let's not say stuff we'll regret.

Don't actually mind Danny, as it goes. Rumoured to be The Secret Footballer, isn't he?

Bellerin's challenge on Young was a wee bit agricultural, wasn't it? Not so much late as deceased and cremated.

Maybe I was a tad hasty, a tad. Honestly though, for mine he is pretty cack. He just spouts constant cliches and platitudes, some of which are just false. He's engaged in the obligatory Ozil moan already as well, WAC.

Edit: I mean, honestly, how difficult can it be to find a commentator who merely isn't crap (by which I mean one who A) does not just blab out cliches every time they open their mouth; and B) actually provides a commentary rather than a narrative)? Surely it can't be that hard.

In fact, why is there even a need for a second commentator anyway?
