I thought it was a clear dive and yet also a clear penalty. Definitely don't need contact for a foul.

The offside though may not have been offside by the letter of the law but I think it's a poor law if so. There's no way that the presence of Rooney didn't influence the keeper into going down later than he would otherwise have done.

Maybe, but the first thing the keeper did when it went in is cry for the offside flag, so if he truly believed Rooney was offside he should've dived to save the shot, ignored Rooney, and then appealed if he touched the ball. I'd be disappointed in a utd keeper who didn't do that, but then I suppose the difference in stature of clubs means I probably expect our keepers to be a lot better at reading the game.

Nah, we can reflect on glory nights where we won the thing, and just enjoy Arsenal/City being perennial failures

Warburton leaving Brentford at end of season then. Bizarre decision. He won't be out of work long.
I wonder if he might go earlier than that tbh. Announcements of this sort can often lead to a team deflating pretty badly. I particularly remember when halfway through the season Strachan announced that he would leave Southampton when the season came to a close, and they just went down the toilet and he was pushed out a month or two later.

Was inevitable as soon as the story broke.

This last week has been awful but I am sort of ok with it now that it has finally been announced. It is a huge shame that it has happened, and even worse that it went public before it should have done but I can begin to understand it. Benham is both extremely ambitious and very smart, long term we are in no worse a position than we were last week. My only real fear is that the new guys coming in will be under a huge amount of pressure to get results immediately. I trust that Benham will give them time, I just hope the fans do the same.

As for Warbs, he will get a good job, he has been brilliant and I will always be a huge fan. Just hope he does not end up at QPR.

Yeah I literally no nothing about Brentford, but the best run clubs these days tend to go way beyond the manager. My guess if that you'll be completely fine.

Really hope David Luiz has an absolute stormer today, simply because the pundits have just spent a few minutes basically saying how crap he is.

Plus the fact that he's playing against Chelsea of course.

Want Luiz to run the show but can't have Cavani and Ibra scoring because it's bad for my agenda.

Don't even know who I want to win tbh. Despise them both.

Also, this might be stating the obvious, but Mark Pougatch is just so, so, so much better than Adrian Chiles.

Yeah Chelsea didn't look great but they're big favourites to go through with that result. Hopefully Mourinho parks the bus and then they concede in injury time.
