I didn't think he could afford to lose both games this week after the team he picked in the Bernabeu, but I think the tight nature of the two defeats might let Rodgers off the hook. Sounds like they should have had a pen there at the end. Not that a draw would've been an amazing result, but still.

A 1-0 loss at the Bernabeu borders on admirable, a 2-1 loss at home is unsatisfactory.

Hopefully common sense will prevail and Liverpool will ditch the gnomic fraud.
They won't ditch him, but the only reason his team selection against Madrid (no matter the admirable loss) could be justified was if they got a win against Chelsea.

Terrible few weeks proven second-raters against the best in Europe and the best in this country.

Ugh. Even allowing for Mata's deflected goal being a tad unlucky, we're in free-fall under The Clueless ****. Burnley winning doesn't help, either.

Barcelona were terrible. Then Xavi came on, and a changed side in the last twenty. Suarez had two super assists. Messi was fairly slow though all through. Probably tired legs. Barcelona's weakness now really is their mid field which has been strong for years.

United should go back to the diamond. Their only decent wide players are better central and they might be able to stop freezing Mata out if they do.

Are Citeh depending on Aguero this season as much or more then the Scousers did on Suarez last season?

Fair play to the Bees.

Nice to see Town up there too, defeating Watford (boo, hiss, etc) yesterday as they did.

Div 2 (old money) always delivers, doesn't it?

What is it with the Neville sisters and being good pundits?

I can't stop agreeing with this ****.

It's probably the most depressing thing in the world when the only potential saviour for your season is everyone else being ****.
