Every weekend this season I watch United and lose confidence in making 4th, then watch Liverpool and regain it. Anyone else notice the lengths Sterling went to not to pass to Balotelli for the Coutinho goal? No chance they're scoring there otherwise.

Annoyingly sky sports player wouldn't work. Sounds like the last five have been, er, interesting

Arsenal, Liverpool and United are all so fragile.

Real could put 7 past Liverpool on Wednesday.

Thing is everyone is laughing at Liverpool for being poor, but I can think of a couple of clubs that would kill for a poorly played win...

Feels pretty weird amongst a reasonable amount of pre season optimism, plenty of laughing at Liverpool and United, and yet Arsenal are behind both.

Yeah it's like I said at the time, everyone is optimistic in pre-season. Less actual football to shatter our illusions.

In fairness all three have had big injury problems.

Yet West Ham who half the time want their manager sacked are above all of them at present. Long way to go I know but been a crazy season already.

Southampton are a good shout for an outside bet for top four. Most performance models I've seen had them as 3rd best performing team in the league, even before yesterday.
