**** we were awful.

Sitting here wondering whether Ikki still rates Gerrard's positioning.
Of course. But at 34, he shouldn't be playing 3 games in 1 week.

What are the chances of Gerrard starting in the deep position against Everton?
Depends if we're playing the 4-4-2 diamond. What we really need is someone in midfield to help out creatively. So far every team this season has had a player basically man-marking Gerrard. It makes it tough on him but we need other players to take on the creative burden when he's being overwhelmed. Neither Lucas or Henderson take on that burden. Lallana came on in the 2nd half and we were much better. But conceding those 2 goals in the first half...really tough to get something out of the game. West Ham were good too, gotta give them credit.

Norwood's on Fire
Their starting XI looks a class apart from the first few games

Already feel like I'll be eating a lot of humble pie having written them off

TBF they've probably bought in over £100m worth of attacking talent since then.

Still look well dodge at the back.

Defence still looks kak, don't think they can win the League with it, but top 4 is on. Next year though......

Yer Scousers reverting to the mean (or, if you prefer, having sold their one world class player) means there's an obvious place for them in the CL spots.

Liverpool were never an obvious top 4 team this season anyway. Everything came together for them last season and they've since sold Suarez.

Yep, Spurs are Spurs and Everton haven't kicked on, definite place begging.

Di Maria is genuinely top five players in the world. So jealous United have him, and pretty worried about top four now. We probably could've got him for £30m in 2013 as well, though we probably would've ruined him.

Decision for the pen was awful, as was the defending for the equaliser.

The lack of awareness from the ManUre defenders was just horrible; all standing around like lamp posts while Cambiasso tucked it away.

Definitely been stitched up over the pen. Rafael was just shoved over by Vardy.

I think that surely is among the worst decisions I have ever seen.

The bigger problem has been though that since then we have collectively lost the plot.
