Chelsea and United looking at fairly decent draws you would have thought.
Yeah, even with my Anglo-blinkers on, the two second placed teams to avoid look like Citeh & the Arse, really &, obvz, ManUre and yer Chavs will. Plus each will swerve one of the German sides they shared the group with too.

Guess Milan should never be underestimated, but this vintage doesn't look a classic AC side.

Mind you, they didn't in 11/12 either...

Van Perise out for a month, then. BBC.

Heartbreaking stuff, obvz. Could actually work in ManUre's favour tho as he's less likely to find a suitor whilst injured for the majority of the window.

Yep, Moyes doing to van Persie exactly what Wenger did, if you play him when he's not 100% he'll get crocked.

Arsenal side

--------------------Chesney-----------------------
Sanga-Koscienly-Mertesacker-Monreal
----------Ramsey--------Flamini----------------
--Walcott---------Oezil------------Wilshire--
---------------------Giroud-------------------------

Bit disappointed really. Happy Walcott is playing but I think we could be a bit missing on the left side of attack, with Ozil and Wilshire traditionally coming in from the right. Hope Walcott is prepared to use the space on the left. Really disappointed Arteta isn't playing though, just don't think Flamini is as good.

Happy Sanga is back though, obvs.

Walcott starts. Definitely the right decision imo, would be nonsense not to try and exploit the awfulness of Clichy.

That said, Walcott playing might mean Clichy isn't able to get forward as much, which is a shame because him "attacking" would be a nice/regular way for Arsenal to get the ball back.

Anyway, would be thrilled with a draw here.

He isn't from a technical perspective, but his tenacity and organisation are better than any other player in the squad. That sort of thing is vital against teams with the attacking prowess of City. His selection could be crucial to getting a result imo.

Arteta's defensive work is really underrated IMO.

Anyway, dat Ramsey chipped through ball  Walcott's presence is already creating the odd problem.

Such a great goal, amazing how quickly he adjusted to that flick-on.

A point here is a bonus, wouldn't be surprised if Citeh win 19/19 at home this season.

I like how the commentators seemed to take offence to Wenger not straight up admitting his squad is inferior to City. FMD.

Ian Darke and Michael Owen are amongst the worst commentators out there though. May even be worse than the ITV mob.

Yaya Toure is a reasonable footballer isn't he?

I don't listen to them much because I don't have BT sports, but I've been appalled.

Darke was appalling when he was on Sky as well.

I don't mind Owen as a bloke so much, but he has nil charisma, and all his contributions are either painstakingly obvious or wrong. Not unlike Cevno.

Nice to see my jinx paying off.

Still think we'll struggle, what with Giroud being useless and the Arsenal defence being incompetent

I would say this is a decent match, but obviously I don't have BTSport, and there's clearly no way of me watching it.

Nice timing.

Keeper maybe should have thought about moving toward the ball too. Open game, Citeh are so, so much better going forward than defending.
Yeah, think we need to look to dominate possession for that reason, which is why I'm disappointed Arteta isn't playing.
