So then, Suarez banned for another match. Newcastle must really be liking their chances for Friday now. Won't say anything about what I think though, thread is cursed etc...

Arsenal really should have taken advantage yesterday,Liverpool really should be out of it by now given their home for. May not like it but got to credit Spurs, keep winning those games that they you would expect them to.

Yeah, if Champions League ambitions are to be maintained this is exactly the sort of game Arsenal need to be winning. Was a perfect chance to increase the gap with Liverpool and Chelsea. I imagine Liverpool (and probably Chelsea as well) will offer several more slip ups as the season goes on, but Man Utd and City aren't going to give many, and it's looking increasingly unlikely that Spurs will either. Pressure on.

The impending (re)signing of Thierry Henry will of course solve all of the problems though, so no need for alarm just yet.

January 1st rolls round and Arsenal announce Henry is actually being brought in as Manager whilst Wenger retires from the role.

Yeah, those were the days.

Something very odd about seeing Championship quality football being played in front of a 60,000 strong crowd though. Was the first time I've watched SPL in about 4 years though, this served as a timely reminder of why that is.

In fairness to them we had 70mph winds tonight, utterly farcical conditions.

But yeah, was an utterly pish game.

Sheffield United v Notts County was far better than both, decent advert for the best league in the world

Haha yes, not too displeased about this development to be honest. Always have to wonder why teams continue to buy players (particularly the defensive sort) from teams that are likely to be/have been relegated.
