Very strange leaving Rooney on bench. Can only think Fergie reckons he not right in head at moment with his dad being arrested and that ban etc.
Yeah - you'd think he'd cop an almighty earful from the lovable scousers, which won't do wonders for his frame of mind. Red card waiting to happen afaics.

Comedy defending all round from ManUre; Rio tries to tackle with his wrong foot (looking, happily, like yesterday's man; Fabio take note) and concedes the free kick, then Giggs pulls away from the wall leaving a nice gap for Gerrard to tuck the ball through.

Giggsy you ****ing ***** - Welbeck rightly furious that he jumped out of the way of that free kick.

Can't say Liverpool don't deserve that though, they've been the better side. United's (lack of) ball retention has been embarrassing.

More than happy with the point after that performance - Liverpool were generally much quicker and sharper in possession, and looked the more dangerous team for the majority of the match. United's lack of real quality or penetration a bit of a worry.

Taking the game as a whole, Rio was undoubtedly one of our better performances, IMO.

Yeah, this - I thought he was good today. De Gea too, he's getting better and better.
De Gea got some harsh criticism previously for a couple of mistakes that all goalkeepers make now and then. He will prove he is a class act in the years to come.

Great shot-stopper, hasn't much of a presence in the box for crosses, still a step down from VDS, may improve though.

Van Persie just a class apart. A good thing for the gooners, who look pretty bloody ordinary otherwise TBH.
