Awesome call by Atkinson there, might as well credit the goal to him, not Mata. I mean, jesus, its only the FA cup semi, not like anyones paying attention to this match...
Hey c'mon after his sterling job at the Emirates with Balotelli-Song, he clearly merited getting a Cup semi.

For a match in which I wanted both teams to lose, that turned out to be surprisingly enjoyable. No doubt all the talking will be about the massive howler by the referee, but I hope that's not going to disguise the fact that Spurs were (once again) incredibly ordinary/rubbish.

Others would replace your 'G' with a 'C', of course. Suppose we won't be complaining if he does this in the Euros though.
The BBC live text was going nuts, I thought he did really well to buy a penalty out of it personally. I don't really get why it winds people up so much, defending as an art form is 90% cynicism but forwards are expected to be little jesus christs.

Attacking players diving is more worthy of condemnation than defensive players pulling shirts and fouling imo. Whilst neither is acceptable, in my mind the former act is a lot more dishonest, and that's why people get so upset about it.

Watching the game today, how the hell is Welbeck getting games and talked up as an England player? Considering how many chances he gets laid on for him, his goalscoring record is dire.

It's mostly that Hernandez and Berbatov are loads direr than people realise and he'll play with Rooney far better than anyone else England have.

Not exactly a position of strength for England either. Rooney's suspended for two games, Bent's almost certainly ****ed, Carroll's, well y'know & Defoe isn't a regular for an ailing Spurts side.

Basically leaves Sturridge and Welbeck (& Crouch, who seems to have been forgetten somewhat since he changed codes to play for Stoke RUFC) unless we get silly and go for the second highest score Englishman in the Prem this year, which is dear old Grunt Holt.

IMO, Berbatov is light years ahead of Welbeck - he'd score 20 a year without breaking sweat (which he rarely does tbf)

International Coach
Can see why from refs angle why that'd look in, he wasn't as near the line as that.

ITV not showing anything like that angle though, and using dodgy graphics to suggest at lot further out.

Yeah, I did find it odd that a lot of the graphics pause after the ball has been blocked by BAE and not the moment it hits his boot. Which, presumably, would be when it was closest to crossing the line.
