Chelsea were pretty ordinary. Being outplayed by a 10 man Benfica.

Chelsea totally uninspiring. Needed Frank to do his usual penalty routine to get through this one. One gets the feeling that had Benfica finished the game with 11 men the result would have been different. After the red card Benfica lost of their incision and purpose, and yet still nearly pulled it out of the bag.

Even APOEL showed some quality though. The football was of a remarkably higher standard, whereas Chelsea fumbled around and Benfica couldn't finish.
