Edit - Actually sacked in the players tunnell 2 minutes after the final whistle blew.

He's been coasting for years. The Board didn't care and pandered to him because they were trying to up the profitability of the club so they could raise their share prices to cash in. Now look at the pressure he's under. 6 million quid a year? Heh, time to earn it.

Grant's a snivelling nonentity tho, so it's hard to feel too much sympathy. Word around the camp fire is that he never had the dressing room to lose. Was less than a year into a 4 year contract too, so he'll do ok out of it.
