Haha, would be better than the actual event if you did show up unexpected. A genuine mark out moment imho.

Foster's looked v dodgy today, Cech not a lot better.

Got pens out of it, anyway.

EDIT: 4-1 Chavs. The less evil guys win.

Evra's penalty quite amusing, it has to be said.

The match was, as normal, a glorified friendly. Dodgy keeping being the only interesting part of it, that may have a bearing on the season.

Indeed. Giggs's was even worse. At least Evra might have scored if the keeper had gone the other way.

Don't care at all about the result, but the players do put a lot into it. I suppose at that level everyone hates losing at anything.

Thought Chelsea would in normal time, but as said, can't really read too much into what is effectively a friendly game.

Evra's penalty about as bad as Del Piero's in the Peace Cup.
Nah, not even in the same league. Always looks funnier when they try to send the 'keeper the wrong way, roll it, and it fails. Just looks so much more ****ty then other misses.

According to the British Press, Milan have secretly agreed a transfer fee of around £45m with Chelsea for Alexandre Pato.

The News of the World claims Roman Abramovich would be happy to send the Brazilian back on loan in Milan for the next 12 months.

I have seen Pato play a fair bit and there is no way he is worth that much. Considering he is prone to go a few months without scoring. Which happened a couple of times last season.

Best squad available chosen by big Fabio. Just that in Johnson, Lescott & Defoe, really aren't intl quality.

Hopefully Richards can have a strong season a RB @ City & get back into the reckoning (although Brown should be first choice once fit i'd say). Plus i reckon Bent should be ahead of C Cole as the back-up "target man".

This Jack Wilshire talk by Capello is nice. Even if he doesn't play much for Arsenal this season, ENG could still take in the WC 23-man sqaud & without sacrificing any major player TBF (presuming all players are fit come next June)

Wenger really should loan out Wilshire IMO. At least he will gain something then sitting on the bench or playing Carling Cup matches.

Yes, because if experience has taught us anything, it's that picking a player with minimal top flight experience is a wonderful idea.

Capello has clearly stated he'd only take Wilshire if he was playing regularly for Arsenal. Fair enough. Rosicky and Nasri being out may have giving Jack an opening early doors, but I think he's going to the under-20 WC isn't he:unsure:
