From the BBC.

Chunky middle-aged bloke with stressful job has bum ticker non-shocker.

Seriously, not a fan of the man, but hope he makes a full recovery and then decides to retire.
I remember a program from a few years back when he was hooked up to a heart monitor for the duration of the match. Apparently there were numerous times when his heart rate jumped to a dangerously high level, the likes of which most people never experience in their entire lives apparently. Perhaps surprising that more managers don't end up having to go through the same...

Anyway, think he's a bit of **** but wish him a speedy recovery nonetheless.

Liverpool seem to get more boring every time I watch them.
This. Apart from the clash against United, we have been stock-standard average. Apart from the back four, who I wish would be a bit less dramatic. The only way we score is from a break or set piece.

Why so? Not sure which way this one will fall, but if Citeh ever had a chance of winning at Anfield it's now.
Exhibit A: To win games at Anfield your side must be better than an u-12's side at defending.

Also, these commentators have no clue. Earlier they were congratulating Skrtel for qualifying against Russia. Have to lol.

Lol.

I blame the manager. It's Hughes's responsibility to make sure the side defends set-pieces well. It was obvious from the United game two months ago (if you didn't already suspect it after Dunne left) and no improvement has been made whatsoever.

It helps if his players bother to mark the guy they are meant to mark. Wasn't the first time Skrtel got a free chance at goal in the game.

I've been saying all along that when Hughes goes (it's almost certain, let's be honest) and a decent set of defensive coaches come in we'll improve out of sight.

However, there's much more to worry about than the defense. We have no communication, we rarely keep the ball for longer than 3 or 4 passes and we give the ball away way too easily. We're basically a $200m version of 2007 Blackburn.

I think that'll come back with confidence. Which is partly the manager's responsibility too, but it's not such a basic requirement as ensuring the defence can head a ball played in the air into their box.

As turgid as Liverpool have been, they can deliver set pieces rather well. The delivery for their goal was as good as you could want. Even if a defender did get to it first it would have been a tricky clearance.

They're all players that he signed tbf. When you buy Toure and Lescott to play at centre-back you can't complain that it's their fault when they're crap at marking.

Good delivery and good goal, yeah, but it's not exactly a one-off.

True enough. Was quite happy to flog Kolo for as much as we could. Guy was a recovery pace defender first and foremost and most of that seems to have gone so his bailout every time he loses concentration is gone too. No Sol to make him look good either.

Nice from Adebayor. Liverpool really let Citeh off the hook by sitting back after going a goal up.

Fantastic header by Adeeeeee. Such a close contest, but I do feel that if anyone scores next, it will be Liverpool, based more on my faith in the fail of City's defense, than anything Pool have done up front.
