LOL, no, go on and laugh. Rumour has it though that the reason Barnes is gonna get the job is because a Dubai-based consortium want to buy the club from Johnson but will only go ahead with the deal if Barnes is installed as manager before they join. I don't normally believe such rumours, but it's came from the guy who broke the Barnes rumour as soon as Moore was sacked so...

BARNES OUT
ind33d. Will wear Zidane's #5 and is the 2nd most expensive transfer in history after the great man (that's in Euro's though, it's the most expensive by some distance in pounds thanks to it's recent rubbishness.)

F365 reports it will be the most expensive transfer

Good god, hope they spend a chunk of it on Adebayor.
Yeah, this. However, it seems likely that our potential replacement for Adebayor, Dzeko, may be going to Milan himself, leaving us with Adebayor.
Seems like the Vermaelen deal is a go though,

I have a guy feeling that Edin Dzeko will be a one season wonder/flat tract bully like Mateja Kezman was when he played for PSV (Kezman was a FTB at least) if he joined Arsenal.

Flat-track bullying wins titles, so Arsenal could do with one of those. I'm sure you're aware of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's record against weaker sides- well he's won Inter two titles.

Just booked up to go and watch the Amsterdam tournament in the late July - not the most glamorous of teams this year ( Ajaz, Sunderland, Benfica & Athletico Madrid). Still should be a good weekend & I'm sure there are other ways to occupy myself when not watching the footy :naughty:

So Sultana going bust, cant say i'm disappointed, we'll hopefully get to watch England games and more FA cup and hopefully IPL will go to Sky...apparently ESPN are after the Prem games.

Yeah, not devastated myself, and I've got the thing. I just want the USPga to go to Sky and I won't be too bothered. Torrents mean Virgin TVChoice on demand which I get with the top package (which means Sultanas free) is all a bit redundant. Will be getting the lesser package unless Branson offers something juicy.

Oh Conference clubs to be screwed, very happy for us, but gutted Torquay went up in the Play-off final, could do with that irritating piece of nothing to go out of business, to be honest.

Won't shed too many tears for Sultana, never weakened and bought it myself. Only really interest is where the Prem package that Sky can't bid for ends up.

Hope the NRL's back on Sky soon too.

Could have sworn I saw the NRL on Sky the other day.

Setanta just seems to be ITV Digital Mark II. At least the Prem clubs won't have been banking on their money. Surely Sky will just wind up picking up the extra package. Maybe we'll see the return of Prem Plus.

Might be wrong, but was under the impression that at least one of the six packages had to go to another broadcaster to prevent a monopoly?
