TBF Man U have a game in hand so if Liverpool win it will bring the gap down to one and hope United lose that match in hand.

I think with United their "slump" is just a bit of reversion to the mean. They really aren't a good enough team to win 11 or 12 or however many it was on the bounce nor is their defence of sufficient quality to go a few years without conceding. Vidic has been their mainstay, but for all his positional sense and airial ability he does seriously lack pace and has the turning circle of a oil-tanker. He won't play Torres every week, but any attacker with pace and a good touch (sadly quite a rare beast in today's game) can cause him no end of problems

Still the champions for me, if only because they have the least worst squad & the winking Chav might yet wake up, but it's good that the title race won't be a simple annointing now.

My predicted table has Liverpool winning the title by 2 points, ITSTL I think their run-in is the easiest of the top three although I think I've probably put too much emphasis on their last few performances as they have struggled in matches they should have breezed through all season. certainly, though, the fact that United still have to play Citeh can't be underestimated even if it is at Trafford and Citeh are pretty poor away, a derby is a derby

I had Villa finishing 4th and Arsenal 5th, sorry Brumby, and WBA, Sunderland and Boro down.

Given that I am awful at predictions, expect United to win the league, arsenal to finish 4th, and Blackburn & Newcastle to go down

Mind you, I did call the whites to win 2-0 at Oldham and I won LMS this week so maybe things are looking up ;)

Whaaat? Have us in 4th by 5 points and that includes losses at OT and Anfield and a home draw with the Chavs.

ManUre take the title on 92pts by 4 from Liverpool with the Chavs 3rd on 83. We comfortably take 4th on 71. Toffees 6th with 62.

Pompey (36), Boro (31) & The Albion (27) to go down with the Goerdies safe on 38.

BARNES OUT
Rubbish challenge from Malbranque, c'monnnn.

Haha ****, my stream paused before the pen and then the ball is near our own goal. FFS Robinho you waste of space. Why Elano didn't take it I'll never know, easily the best penalty taker in the squad.

I'm gonna do it now and post back my, um, findings
Here's my findings.

The problem is, while i don't expect Man Utd and Liverpool to go through the rest of the season unbeaten, there's no matches i'd pick them to lose. Makes the premise a little false.

Here's the run-ins:

Man Utd:
Aston Villa (H)
Sunderland (A)
Portsmouth (H)
Tottenham (H)
Middlesborough (A)
Citeh (H)
Wigan (A)
Arsenal (H)
Hull (A)

Lots of tricky ties, but no real stinkers. They'll be big favourites going into all of those games.

Liverpool
Aston Villa (H)
Fulham (A)
Blackburn (H)
Arsenal (H)
Hull (A)
Newcastle (H)
West Ham (A)
West Brom (A)
Tottenham (H)

Chelsea
Newcastle (A)
Bolton (H)
Everton (H)
West Ham (A)
Fulham (H)
Arsenal (A)
Blackburn (H)
Sunderland (A)

Wow, Liverpool are hot at the moment. If only they could dick the little teams they would be miles in front.
